If I am not wrong, summarized, one point of the Android security police currently is no app should see internal data from any other app.
Another point is no app should be able to write outside some defined directories

I am not so sure about this, just speculating, if when you imported your data the storage directory for osmand was pointed to somewhere it could not write, then it is possible it could have not wrote
your data.

If you have not used it, filling it with stuff, chances are that an "undeleter" program could recover something from it, but of course no warranties
