Good morning

Started to build an own PnP machine and already got most mechanical parts for it..including CP40 nozzles holder and nozzles from robotdigg.com...

Now when I want to insert a nozzle into the holder they go in around 1mm - 2mm....not more....only when I turn the nozzle when pushing it into the holder they fit...well not all...

Anyone else having or had this problem?

If the nozzles need to be turned with high force it makes a tool changer impossible...

thanks in advance

I had this problem initially. Yes, it's a very tight fit. I applied
a very small amount of high-quality machine oil to the two rubber
gaskets, and did a few (maybe ten) insertion/removal cycles and it got
better. I use a tool changer without difficulty.

Be sure to wipe the nozzle holder's tip after this, to remove any
excess oil and any junk from the gaskets.

Hello Dave

Ah good to know I am not the only one (o;
May I ask what tool changer design you used?

Still in the mechanical design process...but eventually will be published on github, including electronics....

cheers

My machine is a slightly-modified LightPlacer, using its supplied tool
rack.
