Is the lisp shell preferred over python shell?

Hello,

I built opencog last night and have been watching Ben's videos on youtube. I am watching the AGI 13 videos now.

I want to get my feet wet with AGI and opencog but I don't have a specific aim or motivation aside from an
interest and fascination with opencog's vision. That, and I really really want to see and talk to an ASI in my lifetime.

It seems to me that the lisp shell is preferred over the python shell by looking at the docs. So should I
use the lisp shell? Please give me any other advise you have regarding getting started with AGI and opencog.

I would advise to use the Scheme shell, it is much more used and
better maintained

Python also basically works, but you're more likely to hit bugs there,
and there are no active users for the python shell right now

The python interface to OpenCog is heavily used in different ways
though -- python is the gateway via which openCog communicates with
external resources like ROS (for messaging to sensors and actuators)
or Theano (for neural net training/evaluation), etc.
