Hello

I know this group relates to OKD however I am trying to install the 4.8 rc3 as I usually do successfully with 4.7 and others but I am having problems with the bootstrap doing the release image download.

Do you know if this is possible to install directly from a release candidate, I know I can upgrade to a release candidate but unsure as I am getting the following

bootstrap.test.local release-image-download.sh[1097]: Error: Error initializing source docker://registry.ci.openshift.org/ocp/release@sha256:af238ba15d5dcb839e4f0adff5e87d36f4bae096d31f0f7192c726e3a35c203b: Error reading manifest sha256:af238ba15d5dcb839e4f0adff5e87d36f4bae096d31f0f7192c726e3a35c203b in registry.ci.openshift.org/ocp/release: unauthorized: authentication required

I am using the pull token that I got from cloud.redhat.com
thank you

Which installer did you use?
https://mirror.openshift.com/pub/openshift-v4/x86_64/clients/ocp/candidate-4.8/
should be pointing to Quay.io images

you gave me an hint :) it works now ... by extracting using oc (command below)... it seems the executables on the link I was using are pointing to the dev repository which I don't have access to ...
oc adm release -a ../pullsecret.json extract quay.io/openshift-release-dev/ocp-release:4.8.0-rc.3-x86_64  --command=openshift-install --to .

Guys I am testing to install openshift cluster using 4.8.2 ova Image (this is the latest one available) in Vmware and stumbling on the exact same issue on the bootstrap node. Using openshift-instralller ver 4.8.8.

I dont get where that registry comes in? There is no token for this registry inthe pull secret either.

How do I get moving around this?

Strangely enough, now i have downloaded 4.8.11 version of openshift-installer and generated menifests and ignitions with it and that one is working just fine. So never mind :)
