I am sure there is someone with a better memory for dates than I who can give me a date for a photograph I have which came to me on a black board. Fortunately there is a key with names so I can put a name to face. It was taken on the grass outside the old building and clearly includes everyone present on the day the photo was taken. Richard H must have been elsewhere that day. Taking centre stage on the front row is Prof Wright with J.K.A. Bleasdale at his right and Sir David Lowe at his left. The photograph may have been dated on its back but as it is firmly stuck down on board I can’t look.

I think it was taken the year I started in 1973 as I was in Old Physiology (by the farmyard) and we moved into the David Lowe building later in the year. Jayne

I'm 99.9% certain the photo was taken in 1975 - Jubilee Year but I am
prepared to be corrected.

I think you are correct. Graham Keyworth died on 22 August 1975 and he appears in the photo. Colin Ward, who is not in the photo, was still on the staff in December 1974 but had left by December 1975, so I think it was taken in early summer 1975.

Definitely 1975. My copy says Jubilee Year 1975.
I have the complete list of those present somewhere. I will try to find it for your information.

I have a black and white photo taken in ‘75 and a coloured one I can’t find which may be earlier.
