Hi all, I see a few items listed with ns-3.44 milestones in the issue
and MR tracker. Are there any other items that people would like to
work towards merging for ns-3.44 (to be published by January, so most
new features should be ready by end of year). Please reply here or open
an issue or MR in the tracker so that we can get it on the radar.

Also, I would like to note that Biljana has kindly agreed to help with
release management in this cycle (thanks!).

Hi Tom, all,

My goals are to finally finalize the EMLSR support and possibly to
introduce the (legacy) PowerSave mode support.

Best,
Stefano

Hi All,

Following Stefano’s message related to wifi topics, possible features that might come from my side:
- GCR (UR & BA)
- improved support for P2P/adhoc
- 802.11be extensions (CCA, RAAs, 320 MHz BW, …)

I also want to continue working on strong types, and on non-wifi side I hope to finalize shortly the MR related to applications refactoring.

Kind regards,
Sébastien.

Hi All,

My plans for 4.44 depending on time, in order of importance are as follows:

- Add Zigbee module. This has been coming for some time and the module is ready to be out. Naturally, many improvements and
additions are still missing but the module has some basic capabilities (routing, data transmissions, join mechanism, example, tests). Things missing before
release: a further review from maintainers/developers, documentation, traces support

- Keep improvements in lr-wpan and energy documentation. Tom has some suggestions that I would like to implement in this release
and perhaps improve the documentation of 1 or 2 other modules.

- Revise traces of lr-wpan, add them to the documentation.

- In the lr-wpan module change various attributes and constants specified in IEEE 802.15.4 and change them into attributes for ns-3

Is the Zigbee merge request ready for a review now, or do you want to do
any more work before asking us to review?

Tom,

Except for the missing module documentation, traces and example cleaning, I think is ready for review.
The module already has complete Sphynx documentation.

If you do not mind, I would like to start with the reviewing now and I can start updating the documentation
little by little during these two months.I think fresh first impressions and comments from others can also help me to better
decide what to add to the documentation.

I do plan to add more things after the merge, but I want to wrap the project for the merge here before it becomes even
bigger.

Thanks for sharing these; I have put all of the responses so far on a
new Roadmap wiki page, and added some of my own there:

https://www.nsnam.org/wiki/Roadmap#ns-3.44_plans

Of course, the GitLab.com tracker and milestone labels there are the
most up-to-date status on what's going on, but I would like to lightly
maintain and update this Roadmap page for each release cycle.

p.s. The wiki is also now linked from GitLab.com under the 'Plan' heading.
