Harq ID Inquiry (Why do we have 20 HARQ IDs?)

Hello, I would like to ask why there are 20 unique HARQ IDs in 5G Lena. According to the specifications I am reading, up to 16 HARQ processes are supported in NR [1]. I believe that "harq id" and "harq process id" mean one and the same thing and are used interchangeably? 

I would like to know why we have 20 Harq Processes in 5G Lena? Does anyone have an idea?

I can't find any standards justification for the default value of 20.  I

sorry for the late reply.

I think there is no specific reason behind this selection. 

NumHarqProcess is a gnb mac attribute, so it can be configured to the value you wish. 

Thanks Tom for opening an issue. We can change the default value after verifying that all tests pass.
