There are still several interesting races to come as the 2025 season begins to wind down.

Round the County , Nov 8-9, still has a few slots open before they put folks on a waitlist.  So far there are 10 multihulls signed up!  Don't wait!!

This coming Sunday, Sept 7, is the STYC "J & J" race.  This is a single- or double-handed longer buoy race - no restrictions on gender!   So far only Hidden Dragon is registered.  Would love to see some more NWMA folks out there!  Weds is the deadline for registering at no cost for STYC members.

Saturday Sept 20 is the STYC Women at the Helm 2.  This is a regatta style event, where they aim to sail three shorter races near Shilshole.  Hidden Dragon is registered, with my daughters helming.  I think Tatiana is also planning on racing (?) Again, it would be great to see other multihulls register and come out to play.  It's a great opportunity to give some helming experience to people who might not race so often.

Saturday October 4 is the CYC Edmonds Foulweather Bluff race, starting and finishing off Kingston.

Saturday October 18 is the STYC Great Pumpkin Race, a pursuit style race around and across the Sound near Shilshole, which could produce some great reaching legs for multis!

And then there are the NWMA challenge courses you can sail at any time.  There could be some good record-setting winds in the fall...

Looking forward to seeing folks out on the race course...

Oh yeah, last year was really fun:( Zero boats finished. We actually had
the first, yes first, mark in sight when the committee boat came up and
took it away. Yeah, really fun.

Well, now you mention how much fun it can be...  I recall one year it was fog bound and calm.  The fleet sat in the fog off Edmonds through a couple of postponements and then they called it.  The Kingston ferry came in through the gloom, hailed me on vhf as he could see me on AIS, and asked me to herd folks away from the ferry dock!

Oh I like to do Rum Run, a Duck Dodge affiliated race. Always a reach across the Sound with a raft up in Port Madison after (which I've always skipped).

This year Sept 27, no registration required
