Hello Texas FTC, and welcome to the FIRST Tech Challenge DECODE Presented by RTX season!
With the release of the Competition Manual this past weekend, our new season is underway. There are lots of new things to consider for the upcoming season, and we have a lot of new coaches and teams joining FIRST Tech Challenge!
On Tuesday, September 16 at 7pm we will hold a Zoom Chat/Clinic meeting online to introduce FIRST Tech Challenge and the DECODE season. Registration for the Zoom meeting is at http://tiny.cc/ftc-clinic .
In this chat/clinic meeting we will introduce the season describe how the competitions work, let you know what to expect, and answer questions about the season. We'll look at season event schedules, event day logistics, how matches are played, advancement criteria, helpful resources, and more. A lot of the focus will be on information useful to coaches new to FTC, but there will also be information useful to veteran coaches and teams.
We will also cover some game-specific rules and answer some questions about the game itself, with a more detailed game and rules review to take place in another upcoming clinic.
Some of these topics were covered at kickoff events, but we want to provide another opportunity for people to learn about FTC and have their questions answered. The clinic will also be recorded and available shortly thereafter on YouTube at https://tiny.cc/txftc-clinic-playlist . Other DECODE related-clinics will also appear in that playlist.
Please register at https://tiny.cc/txftc-clinic , and mark your calendars to join us on September 16 to learn and ask questions about what is in store for the DECODE season. Coaches and others from outside of Texas are welcome to join this meeting also, and we expect to be simulcasting to YouTube as well.
