There was one of these in the London Science museum for many years

A chap on the facebook forum restored one of these a short while ago. Beautiful clock.

The auction sold for roughly $3120 and had a starting price of roughly $1100.

I disagree....that's 'eye candy'... :) I 'think' this may have been a clock used for timing events? Longines were well known for their sports timers....but then again, could be smoking something strong. I seem to remember a tear-down of one of these clocks somewhere on the web...I'll try and locate it.....Anyway, $3K for this does seem a little steep.

And it has a great story behind it - explaining the 10th of a second position.. And it is quite rare - one of the few nixie clocks that were designed in the nixie tube era..
