I've been slowly shutting down my nixie/dekatron kit venture, over the last couple of years:

Someone mentioned a little while back, where I cold upload my Gerber file PCB artwork, and get a small fee, when anyone downloaded it. Does anyone know what this service is ?

Say it isn't so!! I've loved your kits over the years...!!

Cheers,

Nick

Same here!! I’ve learned so much over the years from your website and built many of your kits. The thermometer, a favorite, has been proudly on display in my living room for several years.

PCBWay and OSHPark both allow you to make your designs public and
allow others to order copies. However I don't think you get a fee. I
do recall someone doing that but I don't remember who or know if it's
still available.

On pcbway, you can get a small percentage of the purchase amount from someone who orders a pcb from them. But nothing on the shipping, which is often high.

Hi everyone,

I'm lssg-97 from eBay—the buyer who recently inquired about purchasing PCB design files for the Dekatron project. I’ve just started diving into the world of Dekatron tubes, and I’m completely fascinated by how they work. But as many of you know, power supply design is the biggest hurdle for beginners like me trying to build glow tube circuits.

While resources online are scarce, I was lucky to stumble upon threeneuron’s website. The documentation and tutorials there have been incredibly helpful. After spending days studying the material, even someone as inexperienced as me feels motivated to give it a try!

Due to my location, ordering threeneuron’s physical PCB kits isn’t feasible, so I’m exploring the option of obtaining the design files and having the boards fabricated locally.

That said, I’m not familiar with the common PCB file-sharing platforms used in the U.S. I know some creators share their work on Patreon (which I can access), but I’d love to hear your suggestions for other reputable platforms where threeneuron could share their designs—and get fair compensation for their hard work.

Thanks in advance for your help!

That's why, I'm looking for that sight that hosts 3rd party PCB art. That way, you can download those files, and have them made yourselves. You can do it individually. Get a few friends together, to share the costs. Even make your own PCBs at home.

I'll keep my Wordpress page up, for all the documentation. May even add new PCB art, for new designs.

Its just that the combination of Google & eBay changing their search algorithms, and this hobby's demographics, have seen sales dramatically crash.
