I finally heard one calling last night when I was out checking the
moths at around 1:00 a.m. There was a loud chorus of treefrogs around
9:30 in the evening but it had slackened off somewhat when the cooler
air moved.
There is a treefrog chorus again tonight, but only about half as many
calling. I'm wondering if the wind tonight is keeping them quieter. I
only have the light by the doorway on, the wind is whistling across
the balcony where I have the other light at the diningroom window.
The warmer temps are bringing out a good selection, so far 2 species
of zale moths, the intent zale and another pretty one with lime green
markings I can't recall the name of. I managed to pop that one into a
bug box, I want to see and photograph it in daylight.
