I usually use Ctrl-M to move tasks from my Inbox into my outline.
The view shown in the Move window always defaults to "All tasks" and I can not change this, even though the tool-tip on the view name says "Click to change the current view".
After upgrading to MLO 4.2, the Move window also defaults to showing all completed tasks.  Every time I use this window, I need to check "Hide completed tasks".

Is there any way to change these defaults?

Hi Steve,

I cannot reproduce this. I can click on the header (or use Alt-V) to change the view. The next time I use the Move dialog it opens the last used view. Can you please provide the exact steps to reproduce the problem.

The move window defaults completed tasks this setting to the value which is set in the selected view. So if you create special view with hide completed options enabled you will get what you want.  Let me know if it works for you.

Andrey.

Hello Andrey,

Thank you for your help.

This happens the same way for me every time I try to move a task, whether I use ctrl-M or right-click and "Move to".  The "Move task" window always opens with View: "All tasks", and I can not change it.

In any of my Workspaces I can change the view normally, with Alt-V or by clicking on the view-name header.  It is just in the "Move task" window that this does not work for me.

In the Move-task window, when I hover over the view name in the header, it changes color, then changes darker when I click on it.  This appears the same as in a Workspace view.  But when I click on the header in the Move window, the list of available views does not pop up the way it does in a Workspace view.

If I change either of the check-boxes for "Hierarchy" or "Hide completed tasks", then the view name changes to "*All tasks", with the star for modified view.

I am using MLO 4.2.0 on Windows-7/64 bit.

Let me know if there is more information that I can provide.

-Steve

Is anyone else able to reproduce this problem?
I have the same issue on two different Windows-7 PC's, both running MLO 4.2.1.

I am having exactly the same problem and have posted it too. Quite frustrating really!

Same problem here ... I CANNOT change the view in the move tasks dialogue ... neither by clicking, nor by using the suggested hotkey (ALT+V). I'm still on XP, SP3
