Hello

Is it possible to get Rapid Task Entry to add tasks to the top, rather than to the bottom of the <Inbox> folder?

Background:
I would prefer not to have to scroll down through all my other tasks in the Inbox in order to see my new tasks.

Cheers

Suggestion, try to move the <inbox> to the top? so when u want to see inbox tasks, it is at the top.
Does this solve the problem?

Hi,

Open filter options in inbox view-> Group&Sort -> Sort-> Sort Task -> Creation date Descending.

Hi John
Workaround 1.
Create a new inbox view.
In the view configuration pane, sort tasks by creation date.
If you don't want to see 2 inbox views in the view list, make the old inbox view as a child of the new inbox view.

Workaround 2.
Create a Recently Added folder inside of the inbox folder. Move it to the top of your inbox folder.
Choose it in the rapid task entry dialog.

Hi both

No, none of these options really solve the problem.

> Create a Recently Added folder inside of the inbox folder. Move it to the top of your inbox folder.
No, I don't want my entire view to be in Create Date Descending, just my Inbox folder.

> Open filter options in inbox view-> Group&Sort -> Sort-> Sort Task -> Creation date Descending.
And then manually drag them back out into the <inbox> proper, yes?
Hmm...  it's a bit clunky but it may be the best we can do.

I don't understand what do you want to do manually?
This solution works only for inbox view. If you want to have it in all view but only for inbox you have to sort subtask (Right mouse click-> Menu->Advanced->Sort Subtask) But you need do do this manualy (shortcut can be set for this)

Ideally I wanted my Inbox to be populated from the top, rather than for new tasks to be added to the bottom.
However, on reflection, I no longer think that this would be quite as useful to me as I originally thought, so let's leave it for now.

Cheers
