Hi,
I want to use workspaces for separating hobby projects, work projects, guitar projects. Workspaces seem to work well, to filter only those tasks, next actions and active projects that are applicable.
However, I have a huge backlog of tasks that either need to be in either one of those categories. I thought I found a workaround, by dragging a tree into a folder called "Personal". Dragging the tasks appended the context, but only one level deep. In other words, children of that task still did not get a context addition.
Now, changing contexts of all individual tasks is a very tedious task. I have no other means beside the Android app, so workarounds using MLO for Windows is not a viable solution for me.
Is there any way to batch set a group of tasks to get a new context, or to reset them?
With regards,
- Jorgen
Nick, you saved my life. I spent a lot of time adding contexts to stuff that I wanted in a certain filter but it felt artificial. If I split up my tasks in three main folders
- Personal
- Work
- Computer
I zoom and notice that the zoom persists over all views. Nice!
Thanks,
- Jorgen
I use workspaces for a similar reason, for personal tasks or tasks for different work clients. I set the workspaces to be based on the zoom to a particular folder. It sounds like you have this type of structure set up, so could just remove the context filter and add a zoom to each workspace.
Nick
