Hi,

I'm using MLO on three devices and I'm tweaking my system quite often. My system heavily revolves around views. Views are IMHO MLO's biggest strength as they allow you to basically create any system that you like from the data you have in your tasks. However synchronizing the views on a Windows, Mac and Android device is really tedious as I need to update the views all the time manually in all devices. Are there any plans to add synchronization of views to the Cloud Sync?

Kind regards,
Jan

Jan,

This probably won’t help, but in v5.0 you can export and import Views. I will guess that Import will come in the next round of mobile releases.

In case anyone else needs this info: Select the View(s), right-click and choose Export View(s). Name the file.

Caveat: I just exported one View this morning, but have not yet Imported an edited View to my other Desktop. Process should be the same, but I don’t know what happens with multiple views.

Cheers,

Mike McCallister

Mike,

thank you very much. For the desktop platforms I usually just copy the .mlo file as it is faster than exporting/importing 5+ views. For the mobile it's all manual. Its not super-great but at least it works.

Hi. maybe this is helpful.

for example, if you have 10 views and edited 5 of the views and wanted to move/update them to your other device (other MLO windows ir Android).
Don't export the 5 views 1 by 1, because this way you need to transfer and import them 1 by 1 5 times.
Instead, this is what I do. I select all the 10 views and export as 1 file.
On the other device, i delete all the views and import the 10 views (with the updated 5) in 1 go using the 1 file export.

This way, no multiple import/export hassle, no confusion on which view is old/new.

Hope this is helpful :-)

1 more thing to add. when i export my views, i always put them in my cloud straight away (dropbox/google drive/one drive...etc) and on the other device, i can find and download the file easily.

Another way is to email the exported file which u can quickly open and download it to your device.
