How to enter context in the caption/title field; parsing

The documentation seems to indicate I can type a task like this...

Change light bulbs @ Home

...and it should automatically add the Home context to my task but it doesn't ever work. I've tried it both in the quick entry and the outline view. I've tried ctrl+enter and enter. What am I missing?

Assuming the context you have is @Home, could it be you need to type it with no space in between

OK besides typing @Home (no space because that's the name of the context including the @)

I found that by default, parsing input like "Send report to Jim next Monday 6pm" is turned off. Click the Options>> in rapid text entry dialog to see the options.

I think I’ve tried every permutation available @Home @ Home context Home etc. I’m using MLO 5 – maybe that is the issue. From the Inbox, what would you have to type in a new task to make it set the context?

If I type "do it context @Home" or "do it @Home" in the rapid entry dialog it does get parsed as long as I turn on the parse option. But I want this parsing ability to work when I'm adding tasks to the Outline. I figured out how to make it work in the Outline too - must press Alt+Enter - I was doing Ctrl+Enter.

Sorry, I think they don't have that feature because it could get in the way of other needs. It has to be in Rapid Task Entry

At least I found that with the space

Change bulbs @ Home 

will also work but difference is the context is Home instead of @Home

and it asks to create the context first if it isn't yet.

There is no parsing ability for adding tasks from the Outline. Parsing is only possible with Rapid Task Entry and a new task is placed to the Inbox folder by default.

I've attached a screenshot of the input. Click "Ok" or "Alt+Enter" to check the output. It should be working fine, there are no known bugs at the moment.

To quickly assign a context to the selected task from the Outline press Alt+C.

Hi, this thread is old, so maybe its old news, but you can enter (or edit) at task caption (title) in the outline now, and use ALT-Enter and it will parse it just fine...
