Viewing children of filtered item in MLO Android v3.2.1

If you use the filter function, is it possible to view the children of the resulting items?

I have a fairly large outline and I cannot figure out how to go to an area of the outline that includes the filtered term and its children.  Only the filtered item(s) is/are shown and everything else is hidden.

In the main menu of view edit, turn on hierarchy view, then enable showing children and disable showing parents.
