Is anyone regularly using the Min and Max time required fields? I'd prefer a simpler estimated time option, with a pick for 15 min, 30 min, 1 hr, 2 hr with a view that would total the estimated time for the displayed tasks.
What I'm trying to achieve is not over committing each day, and then being disappointed each day when I'm moving tasks to the next day.
- Thx.

Like you I was hoping to use them to get a view of how much time I'd committed so I could adjust proactively.
I've have tried using the fields but have abandoned them because they don't roll up to tell me the total time of a group in a list.
This would be very useful to me.

David,

If you mark a task with subtasks as a project, MLO will give you the total time based on the estimates of the subtasks. True, you can’t then group a bunch of projects together and get that estimate. That would be nice, indeed.

Cheers,

Thanks Mike, I didn't know that - I'm just about to start playing with Projects and Goals.

Thank you Mike.

By the way, how do I group projects?

In a folder?

Thank you in advance.

I find folders to be the easiest way to group projects. You can define the scope of a folder any way you want. I think some folks here also use Contexts. MLO is flexible enough that you can choose whatever makes sense to you.
