Hi,
wrt 1:
- bc is band contrast
- bs is band slope
- bands is the number of bands which were used to index this points
So these are different measures
wrt 2:
iq is a measure used on edax machines, your dataset seems to come from an oxford based software, so you won't have iq as far as I am aware of.
I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Rüdiger

Subject: {MTEX} Band Contrast Maps: ebsd.props bc bs bands (What is the difference?)
Hi Rudiger and Ralf,
When I check the properties of the ebsd i ve got
ebsd.prop
ans =
bands: [122380×1 double]
bc: [122380×1 double]
bs: [122380×1 double]
error: [122380×1 double]
mad: [122380×1 double]
x: [122380×1 double]
y: [122380×1 double]
I plotted 3 of them in the same setting (same smothing etc)., here is the results
[band_contrast.jpg]
1. Would you tell me the difference of them, if all of them band contrast why they are in different intensity?
2. In prop I do not have IQ (Image quality), bu is there any way to plot
ebsd.iq map. When I am plotting it, it gives me an error
plot(ebsd,
ebsd.iq)
No appropriate method, property, or field 'iq' for class 'EBSD'.
Error in EBSD/subsref (line 40)
[varargout{1:nargout}] = builtin('subsref',ebsd,s);
Many thanks in advance
Zelda
