pinyin.py - spacing between words cannot be controlled

This is a great plug in, but whenever I enter a pinyin word with a tone, a space shows up between it and the next pinyin word with a tone. For example, xue2sheng1 with the correct tone markers would always show up as xue2 sheng1. This just makes learning the rhythm of the language a little bit harder when spaces show up in a phrase or sentence where there shouldn't be.

Is there a way to fix it?

Best to try and get in touch with the writer of the plugin. I didn't
have anything to do with it :-)
