Hello,
I am not particularly technical.  I have tried using LaTex for the first time and I am getting a bunch of error messages.
I am using Mnemosyne 2.7.2
Here are the error messages.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

What exactly are you doing? The error messages are related to the
library that is used to plot the statistics, and not the latex
library.

See here for more info about latex:

It seems like a conflict between two versions of Matplotlib. Is it possible that a different version is installed globally that takes precedence over whatever is in that mpl-data directory (which I'm not familiar with)?

The strange thing is that matplotlib shouldn't even come into play at
all for latex-based cards...

Okay, I will remove MikTex and see if I still get the same error messages.
I get the error when I ask for the schedule

Thanks in advance

Okay, I am still getting the error message.

Worse, Microsoft will not let me re-install MikTex because it thinks that the .exe file could cause harm
Here is the MikTex download site:

I exported the cards, but it may be problematic for others to see if there is a problem if there was no latex on my computer when I exported them.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

When Windows gives you this warning, there's always an option you can tick to install it anyway.

Feel free to already send you cards, then I can take a look at it.

Cheers,

Peter

Just read here that you get the error when you ask for the schedule, not when you are looking at a latex card. That's a completely different situation :-)

In that case, uninstall Mnemosyne completely, make sure C:\Program Files\Mnemosyne or  C:\Program Files (x86)\Mnemosyne are completely empty and reinstall Mnemosyne.

Thanks for all of your help!
Sorry for the confusion.  The error first appeared when I added MikTex when I was viewing cards.

After following the steps, it still appeared but to be precise only.  I have deactivated the set and am not seeing the erro.

I had attached the cards to the thread because it is a small file, but I can still send them to you directly too.

In the interim, I will reinstall Mnemosyne because I would like to use the set.

Thanks
David

The mailing list seems to have deleted your attachment, so please send your db file to me personally, together with a precise description of what exactly you are doing when you see the error.

Cheers,

Peter
