RawWrite - malicious?

Hi everyone,

In the MikeOS docs we point people to this tool for creating floppy
disk images on Windows:

http://www.chrysocome.net/rawwrite

Someone contacted me to say it's now malware. Can anyone else confirm
that, by eg checking the binaries in the .zip file with a malware
checker?

Might be hacked. VirusTotal doesn't say anything tho: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/7704501a1c42702ddb0309ecae42deb9761c7f902e32b5c4dd711f1d0d5c6323/detection

If it's true, it might be a hacked website rather than a malicious release. The website seems very old, last update is 2009-05-06.

You scanned the zip file, not the EXE. That's what's malicious
