Is the hard facing check-crack accepted by secIX ?

Dear experts

According to hard facing weld overlay requirements PT shall be done and i know about qw-195.2 but my question is " what about the check cracks? " its accepted according to sec IX ?
If yes could you plz refer me the related paragraph.

Check B31.3 design code.

Anyway anyform of crack is.not accepted.

ASME deals with pressure systems. Check cracks are for those applications where "wear resistance" is desirable (i.e. crushers etc.). Those applications do not refer to ASME.
