I am having WPS impact temperature range with -20 degree. Can i do the welding for -29 degree impact requirement job as per ASME code

 you are allowed to use said wps for welding of job having mdmt -20c and warmer

Dear Chirag,

It depends on the material and the minimum temperature mentioned in ASME B31.3 (if applicable).

for CS material  criteria to be defined based on the Table 323.2.2 of applicable 31.3 code.

It will be decided based on Thickness, Material specification as sometimes there may be Base Material Impact exemptions.

Also specify the Design Code such as ASME B31.3;  -29degC is a general cutoff for carbon steels such as a106Gr.B, A105 etc..
