Welding of SB729 UNS NO8020

Dear All
Please provide the guidlines of welding of SB 729 and B462 (alloy 20 ),i have selected the ER320LR and ERNiCrMo-3 for welding of Alloy 20, is it correct ?

Hi Rajesh,

If it involves welding or Alloy 20 to same , them ER320LR is the matching & ideal consumable. ERNiCrMo-3  will be over matching as well  as over priced. This filler could be used for dissimilar joints between alloy 20 and other alloys. Please seethe attachment for more details.

Pradip, what about 317 which has got more Mo than 320

no, u may use 317 which is readily available in the market

ER320LR is matching consumable . Weld with due care .
 ERNiCrMo-3  is aslo acceptable
