CS pipeline hydro static test

Hi,

I would like to know the basis of deciding the hydro test calculation for strength test 1.5*DP and 1.1*DP for tightness test. And why normally for CS pipeline we are going with 24 hours tightness test.

The basis actually is determined by which construction code you are following or if it is a project-specific requirement.

There are many things which i also have wondered why we are doing it in the first place.
