Weep hole

If weep hole is not provided in dummy pipe before welding
What will happen???

Hi raghul,

Weep hole in dummy pipe is to vent out the heat and gases during welding.

you can have the weep hole in base plate as well.

But what I am asking is,If weep hole not provided
What is the problem will come ??

The trapped burnt gases may be corrosive and corrode the weld joint and dummy pipe in due course.
