RequestTimeoutException using PublishRequest/Respond with MSMQ

I have been struggling to get PublishRequest/Response working.  The symptom is always that the client making the request times out waiting for the response.  I found an old sample project based on RabbitMQ at https://github.com/withakay/MassTransitReqRespTest.  I simply changed UseRabbitMqRouting to UseMsmq and changed the queue names from rabbitmq: to msmq:.  The sample runs be yields the same timeout problem I've been having.

Could someone help me understand what is wrong with the sample?

well, old samples may not work.

and MSMQ has a bit more setup than RabbitMQ.

So, we will most likely need more information.

can you share your bus setup code?
