Flock of about 50 birds working the athletic fields at Twin Brook recreation area, Tuttle Rd side. Didn’t have binos, not sure if there is anything else in the mix.

Went back for a closer look and there is at least one, maybe two LALO in there as well.

A group of 50 snow buntings is still present at around 1:45PM. They are bouncing all around the fields avoiding the dog walkers. I also observed a group of six horned larks right near the Tuttle Road entrance. I wasn’t able to see find any Lapland Longspur in the group of snow buntings but will check my flock pics later. Thank you for the heads up.

The Snow bunting‘s(20 or so) and horned larks(10)re still present as of 3:40 PM. The Snowbunting‘s are in the furthest distant field from the parking and as Brendan stated, avoiding the dog walkers. The horned larks were at the entrance as I pulled in however they flew out into the back edge of the middle field.

Thanks,

Photos including the longspurs from my outing this morning are posted here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S61474591

I took a series of photos of the flock from end to end and came up with two longspurs mixed in with the snow buntings.
