Hi Danny,

yum remove lxphp
yum install lxphp

gave me this:
Installing : lxphp-5.5.4-1.el6.i386                                                                                                                                                       1/1
Info: Starting LxCenter checks...
Info: Script dir found.
Info: HyperVM found, checking for the version.
/script/version: line 3: lphp.exe: command not found
Info: Found HyperVM version:
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.EPWZAc: line 8: [: ==: unary operator expected

Other than then it is installed.

That is a correct error for the situation you have created, such action
is not used in a normal operation. Maybe one more check needs to be done
to avoid this, but we have to avoid lxphp 5.5.x to be installed on
HyperVM 2.0.7993.
Maybe split the packages like i was already busy on a year ago?
(hypervm-core-php.....rpm) Then we dont have to do the checks at all.

What happens with yum reinstall lxphp ?

Why did you do a remove then install?

Danny.

Hi,
this situation is indeed perverse, but this is my testing VPS on which I have other development too, so I dont want to rebuild. But if you are only interested in clean installs, I can fire up an other dev vps, too.
However, when someone wants to upgrade HyperMV he will most likely install it on a previous version.

The bigger problem is that currently if yum fails because of any reasons the install script just finnishes as all was good.  (It failed for me because an GPG key was missing.)

Test VPS I can deliver. No problem. We have sponsors. Just ask for one.. I tell that for some time now and still nobody stepped up :)

Tho I have also VirtualBox running on my Win vista machine. And I do run openvz kernel on my linux machine. So I can test/develop whatever I want at home.. but at 32bit :S Virtualbox runs on 64bit windows but I cant create a 64bit VM. And my Linux machine is 32bit.

Clean installs and update has to be working without problems.
Keep in mind on Centos 5 with current lxphp 5.5.4,  I compiled it with mysql and mysqli support, there is something wrong with the mysql part. mysqli works, tho php.ini is overwritten and fails because mysqli module is not loaded :)

Anyway, a lot to fix :)

Yes that could be a problem. I removed a loop on faillure else it was looping endless at package installs.

First things first, keep this in mind.

Oh, so mysqli is not compiled on Centos 6 yet?

Ofc, I just wanted to help with test results.
