Hi All,

Logic isn't my main DAW, so I'm very much a beginner. I'm trying to
paste separate extracts from two audio tracks onto a third track, and
hitting a strange problem.  I'd really appreciate it if you can see what
I'm missing.

I want to paste bars 3-5 from track 1 onto track 3. I go to track 1 bar
3 and press command-left-bracket, then to bar 6 and press
command-right-bracket.  Next I go back to bar 3, command-C to copy,
arrow down to track 3, and command-v to paste.   This works fine, but
now I want to paste bars 7 and 8 from track 2 to track 3. If I follow
the same procedure, when I go to bar 7 on track 3 and paste, it seems to
paste my first selection, and then the second, so the extract from track
2 shows up 3 bars later than it should.

I also tried splitting the selected bars into regions with command-T in
case that helped, but it still didn't work.

Can you see what I'm doing wrong?

Best,

Peter

You probably have a take folder On each track press Option Shift U to flatten the take folders if there are any then try again.
