Yeah I have noticed the unresponsive issue and the expanding all the rows thing as well. In the key commands dialog VO Space on the more button and select expand all rows before searching or exploring the table and see if that helps.
Also VO home (VO FN Left Arrow on a laptop) gets you closer to the close button when you are not in the table so you can get there quicker to close the window.
Generally in any table (if they are properly formatted), VO Left/Right And VO Up/Down will navigate across a row or up or down a column.
Regarding search terms, I will often try synonyms like delete or remove for example. Usually once you figure out the terminology its consistent. For example it wouldn’t say delete region but then remove tracks. It will most likely say delete region, and delete track. Also I will try part of a search term like regions or tracks or locators to see all the commands that have those options.
The unresponsive issue is one I haven’t figured out what’s causing but it seems to happen when you navigate past the search field sometimes, and I can get wanting to mark up your own Local document, however whenever the key commands list is updated you will have to mark up the new copy all over again, so it may be worth just copying the key commands you want to use or reference back to often into your own text file anyways so even if an updated key commands file is available, you can just add your local text file with your mark ups.
Minus VoiceOver going unresponsive which is a relatedly new thing, I have still found it faster to open the Key commands dialog and thus at the time thought the key commands list on the website was redundant. Thanks for the feedback however, and I have an idea or two on how to bring back the key commands list, but updating it on the website with having to navigate through all the HTML code and or writing in new key commands with their HTML tags was a bit tedious. So it would need to be an option that makes it quick easy when I need to update it. In the mean time, hopefully the tips above will make using the key commands list go smoother for now.
