Dear Friends,

As the summer is passing by am reminded by Google :) that we are due with our report towards the generous EU by the end of August.
This is a reminder that you asked in Budapest about this fact and also for all the host organizations to upload their pictures and half page reports in Dropbox.

Please communicate with the group if you are still in need of any papers.

Wishing you a great August and an energetic start for September.
Hope to hear from you soon somewhere down the rabbit hole!
Hugs,
Melinda

Hello Melinda and everybody!

Please find below the little write up I made as a summary of our accomplishments at the meeting in Italy. Is this enough? Is this the kind of information we are looking for?
Another big question I have (please forgive my ignorance: I was sick during the Budapest conference and missed the session where y'all talked about this stuff) is where in the final report does this information go? The place I see that makes the most sense would be Section E2 Outcomes, but there isn't anywhere to upload images. Or is the idea that we are including this information as supplemental material?

Anyhoo, here's what I've got for the Italy meeting.
Great big hugs all around,
*Betsy

Major accomplishments of the four-day gathering of the Partnership in Poggio Bustone, Italy, October 28 to November 1, 2012, hosted by Art Monastery Italia, included:

  • ChangeMaker Festival - developed the structure and intentions of the ChangeMaker Festival (chose the name, dates, and location of the festival; formed subcommittees dealing with website&branding, registration, publicity&PR and budget; chose theme and developed content and structure of the festival)
  • IPTL (Intentional Partnership for Transformative Learning) - formed the IPTL with the aspiration of continuing the collaboration of these 7 organizations and create the possibility that more organizations could join, regardless of the acquisition of further funding from Grundtvig or other funding sources (chose the name and url, formed subcommittees to create the website and Facebook groups)
  • Book - decided to go beyond the previously proposed project of assembling an online handbook and to instead create and publish a print book (clarified the intention for the book, ecological printing technique, chose editors and formed support subcommittee)
  • Further funding - decided to apply for further funding as a Partnership (discussed possible funding streams at length, made plans and preparation to apply for MLP grant, formed subcommittee to spearhead the work)

Among the Art Monastery approaches used during the workshop were: Gregorian chant, morning meditation, Dance of the Seven Directions, creativity workshop Lectio Divina, investigation and immersion in the local culture (staying in a village, local meals, walking tours, etc.), Bow In & Bow Out method of creating a container.

Overall the conference was highly successful: participants comments on how much we accomplished, really hitting our stride and efficacy as a Partnership.

Upon further inspection, the description I included in my previous email is too long to fit in the space allotted for "description" in section E2. My question for the group: what are these summaries for?
A presto,
