Hello,

Is anyone interested in pursuing entry into the Google Summer of Code (GSOC). The cut off for applications is February 20th. It is a great opportunity to mentor students, find talent, and accelerate development of a project all at the same time. Let me know if you are interested and we can submit an entry together.

Thanks
James

Based on experience, this will require 5 hours per week for 3 months by
the mentor(s).

I can see about getting Konveyor in under Kubernetes.

I had the experience of GSoC as a mentor in 2017 and I especially recommend it in these cases:
  • If you are an experienced engineer and would like to have a taste of coaching to improve your people skills.
  • If you already have a set of improvements that are "low hanging fruit" that could help onboard new engineers
  • If you want to extend the reach and visibility of the project.
I encourage you to take a step ahead and be a mentor in GSoC. It's a great experience.

Please contact me directly if you want to know more.
