Hello Kogito developers,

I've been asked to share news of $subject to this google group.

If you didn't already know, many KIE repositories - including Kogito ones - have been moved (or are in the process of being moved) from the "kiegroup" github organization to the "apache" github organization. To see the list of repositories that have been moved thus far, look here.

Notice that they all have the "incubator-" prefix. This is the standard Apache repo naming convention until graduation, at which point the prefix will be removed. All new PRs should be submitted to these "incubator-" repositories. Mirrors have been created back in the original kiegroup org, with the suffix "-mirror", for clarity. No PRs should be submitted to them.

There is still work to be done for the migration, the biggest of which is fixing all the CI. Progress for that can be tracked in on our github project board. If you have questions about the move, feel free to reach out on Zulip, or subscribe to d...@kie.apache.org (recommended) and ask there - first checking the existing threads.

Best regards,

David Ward

One important fact is to point users to Incubator KIE project. So even
the original web sites still exists, they don't show the KIE Community
is already on Apache Foundation projects.

So watch https://incubator.apache.org/projects/kie.html for updates ;)

Hey David,
If you're able, can you share the reasons for this github change?
(Is Kogito staying under drools, which is staying under RH, which is staying under IBM?)
thx, Rhett

Rhett,

Please take a look on the Apache KIE proposal [1] for more context.

Regards,
Alex

Update: Although they are still mirrors, the "-mirror" suffix has been removed from the repos in the kiegroup org, since they broke some CI processes that we need to keep until they are (re)set up properly in the apache org. Thanks!
