I've also tried Percona XtraDB and it is not working with Keycloak.
Keycloak needs another transaction type that is also not supported by Percona XtraDB but I forgot it's name.

I have no experience with it but Red hats documentation for Red Hat
SSO (the red hat supported version of Keycloak) mentions it as a
supported clustering method,

I believe Red Hat SSO is still based on Keycloak 17.x
