Is there a "flatter" version of the Jupyter docs?

I'm just starting to "drink the kool-aid," having used a plain old Python interpreter prompt for probably twenty years. I stumbled around in a Jupyter notebook I started from an Anaconda install for a bit, then figured I'd like to curl up with the documentation. Unfortunately, I'm a little annoyed at the need to move to a "next" topic every few sentences. Is there a somewhat flatter version of the Jupyter notebook documentation available? Something which reads more like a book and less like a set of cue cards?

Thx,

Hi Skip,

You might like the PDF version: https://media.readthedocs.org/pdf/jupyter/latest/jupyter.pdf

It still won't be ideal, because that's just the overview documentation; specific applications like the notebook have their own sets of docs. In general, for docs on Readthedocs, you can get a PDF version by clicking the 'v:latest' link in the corner.

Oh, cool. Didn't even see that hiding there. PDF is perfect.

Thanks,

Hi Both,

We've been working on improving the docs, though it is a slow process.
The IPython documentation is a bit flatter now, and starts to reads better.

Kudos in particular to Carole who is doing a fantastic job.

If you have any particular comment on which section we can improve, or
where things are unclear,
please feel free to say so and/or suggest improvement.
