We’ve just released nbdime 0.3 (tools for diffing and merging notebooks), with much improved git integration. You can now be up and running with nbdime in a few commands:

pip install --upgrade nbdime # install nbdime
nbdime config-git --global --enable # tell git to use nbdime when it sees notebooks

and get nice GUI diffs using git refs:

nbdiff-web master mynotebook.ipynb

Congrats Vidar, Min, and all who contributed to nbdime. I've been using nbdiff-web this morning. It's very helpful and looks nice too. Thanks!
