Build Pipeline Plugin

Hello,

I have been working on this bug JENKINS-28180 and I sent a PR
(https://github.com/jenkinsci/build-pipeline-plugin/pull/81).

There are 13 PR waiting for review and merge. Is there any plan to cut
a release soon? I saw that the last release was done by Kanstantsin.

I can help on maintenance of this plugin if you (community) agree.

I waited for 1 month and found 3 emails of Centrum Systems guys (i almost sure that email that in CC is bounced back) before fixing critical bug that breaks it usage totally (in pair with @patbos Patrik Boström). 

Many of PRs solves issue on latest jenkins and breaks on previous versions. 

It also very <insert_kind_word> asking community on commit access to plugin created/belong by foreign company.  

I'm glad that plugin now has maintainer please fix all PRs.

@aheritier shifting responsibilities for @Manuel work in case of perturbations from Centrum Systems to you. Good luck!

Btw, my suggestion will be ask Kohsuke about this company, because they created really useful plugin and disappeared, maybe he knows them and can ask for comments.

I clearly missed this page #fail but we can always remove manuel's rights if it is a problem for its initial contributors (yes the email in cc of the thread is ko)

We'll ask next week to KK if he has some contacts and feedbacks to share

I didn't know that a plugin hosted in our organization was able to define its own contribution model.

I want say that my permissions are also "not very confirmed". Plugin was absolutely not usable and we (I and patbos) fixed it (thanks jglick for help). I didn’t touch any cosmetic changes (plus fixed web tests).

IANAL but given the code is using the MIT licence, then presumably the "ownership" of the plugin is just a nicety that as long as the owner is actively owning the plugin we are happy to follow.

In my mind if the owner is non-responsive, then we are within our rights to appoint someone else in their place as the code is "owned" by the Jenkins community.

Hi guys,  

Someone forwarded me this thread.   Sorry for the misleading info on the wiki -   I updated the "How to Contribute" page to point at the default one on the Jenkins wiki.   And sorry that we didn't update you when those email addresses stopped being active.

We created this plugin when I worked at Centrum Systems, however I no longer actively do anything with it.    We are very happy to see it is so widely used and that so many people are actively contributing to it.   

As far as we are concerned this is a community plugin and we have seen that the community have successfully done a bunch of releases.   I gave all the people that requested it, commit access but I guess there have been some requests that have gone to those dead emails - sorry.   Up to you all, but I'd be in favour of giving out access as widely as possible until it becomes a problem.

I'm glad we started it off and it is valued by people, it belongs to you all now...  Good luck.

Author blessed @Recena to work on it, i have no objections. Only suggestion to keep web integration tests working (tested on firefox).
