GSoC 2015?

Did jenkins ever took part in GSoC? I think there many-many things that students can fix/implement in jenkins core or plugins.

If you're asking about 2015, it seems that train has left the station weeks ago (org applications Feb 9-20).

Then there's the problem of mentoring. I assume this will take quite a bit of time and effort, and I don't know who could do this.

Maybe something to discuss for 2016?
