Measuring performance? and setup issue with Embarcadero Community

Hi all,

I've been doing some research on how Inno Setup performs on a big
deployment of mine. I think I could try my hand at adding a new
compression algorithm, but before I try I'd like to have some solid data
on performance.

So far, with v6 I can't get any meaningful information from
Superluminal; I found that on v7 the executables will be amd64 native,
which I think would be great! But I've not been able to build it
following the instructions for the Community version of Embarcadero
Delphi. The v7 tags and the main branch result in a "Your setup files
are corrupted" error, with no indication of which ones or why. Moreover,
they make reference to the "Stellar" and "Zircon" styles which are only
available in paid Delphi v13 (Community seems to be v12).

Does anyone have further guidance on how to get this sorted out?

Hi,

I would recommend to run under the debugger and then it should show you where the error comes from. There's a Debug64 build group to ensure everything is built.

To remove Stellar and Zircon delete exactly this text from SetupCustomStyle.dproj:

;Stellar|VCLSTYLE|$(BDSCOMMONDIR)\Styles\Stellar.vsf;Zircon|VCLSTYLE|$(BDSCOMMONDIR)\Styles\Zircon.vsf

Embarcadero does not allow us to include the styles in a different way.
