I was trying to understand various Kyllinga mentioned by Dinesh Ji, but....... :( |
|
Many thanks Surajit ji. I am hoping many of us share their sightings of various species of Kyllinga. |
|
The pictures at the links are good; but familiarity with grasses and sedges is absolutely low - not yet able to grasp the differences. Regards.Dinesh |

"we are in the same boat brother..." |
Good morning Dinesh Ji.
This might help :- http://flora.huh.harvard.edu/china/PDF/PDF23/Kyllinga.pdf
According to Flora of British India, K. cylindrica Nees is scattered widely in India, not plentiful anywhere. I am thinking if your species https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/indiantreepix/HUoQO2C7JHQ/_X1xUFdcT18J can be the same.
Regards, surajit
