Dear members,

I have updated eFI (efloraofindia) page on Strobilanthes

Attempts have been made to incorporate most of the species available in India & nearby areas with details & keys directly or through links as far as possible. It’s quite possible that there may be some discrepancy in the accepted names & synonyms taken from other links.

Species discussed so far in efloraofindia are given at the bottom of the page in the form of links against Subpages. On clicking them one can see all the details.

If someone can provide complete list of Indian species with source references it will be wonderful.

Any comments/ corrections are welcome.

Garg Ji
I have added the list of species known from India based on Karthikeyan et al, 2009. The added part is yellow highlighted.

Sir. You do a wonderful job. In your Strobilanthes page where you have dealt with name changes in Hemigraphis..

hirta (Vahl.) T. Anderson (Syn. of Strobilanthes hirta (Vahl) Blume in view of New Names and Combinations in Indian Acanthaceae by John R. I. Wood- Novon: A Journal for Botanical Nomenclature 23(3):385-395. 2014)

This reference of JRI Wood need not there because it's not a new combination nor be has talked about S. hirta there..or you can add one more sentence for clarity.. since all allied genera of Strobilanthes are no longer recognized, H. Hirta is also reinstated to its earlier valid name under Strobilanthes as S. hirta.
Thank you, best regards
