Ocimum americanum L., Cent. Plant. 1: 15. 1755.

. After lot of searching I finally was able to photograph O. americanum yesterday from Herbal Garden in Lodhi Garden, Delhi. The plant with general habit of O. basilicum (with touch of O. sanctum) has distinctively smaller flowers.
