Hi,

Can anyone provide any insight for this error that appears during stitching?  I get many of them.

Error: Directory Canon with 7936 entries considered invalid; not  read.

Thanks.

Al

Don't know. try to put the folder with the complete path without special characters and maybe also without spaces. Are you using windows?

It's everytime interesting to describe your environment, like hugin version, platform, etc.

Bests,

    Hi,

Could it be a problem because lack of space, or directory capacity (number of files) exceeded?
7936 seems a lot of files (or entries).  What are the contents of this directory, only the photos to stitch and the hugin generated files?
I understood that you generated control points, etc (perhaps masks, saved the project, ....) and the problem arises after you press "stitch". Immediately, or afer some time? Is some log generated?

Let´s see what this problem is!

If it is still FAT32 can be that, I guess...

I assume you do not have a folder Canon with 7936 images.
And as it happens during stitching I assume it is exiftool trying to read the exif/xmp/iptc tags from your image (maybe even a tiff based raw image with a preview jpg with its own exif data?).
If you do an "exiftool -all:all <image name>", do you get a long list of tags or also an error message?

Harry
