Hi Group,

20191013 Release
This version identifies as revision 68. Changes in this version are listed below.

**TX FIFO statistics are sent to the host PC. See the wiki protocol page.
**UART frequency data compatible with the H50 is sent on DB1 pin 3. Thanks to Taka for this RTL.
**A 6 receiver receive only hl2b5up gateware is included.
**Regular releases for the beta2 (hl2b2) and smaller FPGA hl2b5upce15 will not be made. These are available upon request if needed.

Hi Steve,
I programmed my HL2b5 with Gateware 20191013 using SparkSDR and running with PowerSDR. It seems all are going well.

Hi Naidu,

Thanks for the update. I have switched to SparkSDR instead of the openhpsdr tool for all my updates now.

Hi Steve,

I installed your latest gateware 20191013 (rev 68) and tried out the 6 receivers (via SparkSDR) each attached to a WSJTX instance.
Grabbed 140 countries and +180K messages over a 24 hour period for which you may find a summary here :

Impressive and very stable. I understand there is no TX available but observed that the PTT still functions in the gateware.
So maybe there is hope for TX support next to the 6 receivers or more TX code can be thrown out ?

Thanks for this lovely project and 73's from Belgium

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the update.

I'm running an hl2b2, and while I am keeping up with the firmware
updates you publish, I guess that I will be able to build my own with
Quartus (in the past this has been as easy as selecting the hl2b2 from a
drop down list). Probably there are very few hl2b2's out there, so your
decision makes sense.

Hi Dani,

Glad to hear your beta2 is still running! I have mine too so still build gateware for it. I just don't want to take up the space on github. You can build your own or send me a note and I can send the latest. I thought you also liked to disable the watchdog timer?

For some of the experiments I did the HL2 stopped transmitting if the
watchdog timer was running. I don't remember the exact cause of the
problem, but I guess it boiled down to the fact that some of these
experiments involved just sniffing traffic from the radio, so the radio
was started with Quisk for example, but then it was only netcat running.

In any case, for normal use I use the regular firmware, and I now know
how to build my own with the watchdog disable should I need it.

Dani.

Hello group,
Yesterday I upgraded my HL2b8 to the latest gateware for a build 8 using the N2ADR filter boards on a 64 bit Win10 laptop using the latest Sparkradio SW over direct ethernet connection.
It went flawlessly.
The gateware runs fine on Spark and PowerSDR. But when using Quisk in CW mode, the TX mode hangs and does not return to receive mode when done keying. Quisk works just fine running digital modes (FT8) with respect to RX/TX switching.
This was not an issue with the gateware version factory-installed by MakerFabs for the build 8 run.
I hope reporting this bug is helpful.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the report. I will see if I can replicate it tomorrow. If so, I will fix it in the next testing release. You can also file bugs on github:
