I am able to control the I/O board from SDRC without issue, but it does not seem to work with Thetis 2.10.3.36 beta 5
The enable I/O in the Thetis setup is greyed out and can only be checked if I first activate the IO board by using SDRC
Once I have enabled IO in SDRC and then checked enable in Thetis software setup only then does the RX input is receive signals. However the button for the RX/TX antenna selection makes no difference.
With an RX ant connected to the I/O board RX input, and a dummy load connected to the main board TX connection, switching between RX and TX ant on the UI waterfall shows the same signals all the time. There should not be signals with TX antenna selected because there is no antenna just a dummy load
Using N2ADR_Basic firmware
Clearly something i have missed as a search of the group does not reveal anyone else with this issue so Ideas please
You should run the final release of Thetis 2.10.3.6 HL2 and see what happens. You may need to create a new database, see the release notes.
Release v2.10.3.6 · mi0bot/OpenHPSDR-Thetis
It is working here. One time in the past the HL2 I/O board checkbox was greyed out for me in Thetis, also saw some IO error 255 messages. Nothing since I power cycled it.
When this happens, you can try talking to the IO board using the n2adr IO Board control utility.

There is no "Ant 2" on a HL2. With the IO board there is the Pure Signal and Aux RF (inputs only), the low-level output (only) and the main ANT jack for in and output. The low-level output is taken from before the PA stage. The ANT is after the PA stage.
One thing to note is that the Thetis “Power” is OFF, the HL2 I/O board checkbox in setup will be grayed out. It can only be set after you power up the HL2 connection. Also, for Radio Model, Hermes Lite must be selected, not Hermes.
Once you have the I/O Board active then you can set antenna inputs up. Register 11 is alternate RF input selection. 0 is ANT jack.
If the SDR ‘Power” is on, and still no I/O Board checkbox available, then use the Control utility to ensure it is talking OK at that moment.
I operate my HL2 with a 6M transverter using split IF (low level TX out and Aux RF in), and an HF antenna on the ANT jack. I switch between them through the SDR app, Thetis in this example.
Here is what I have set.
For VHF bands
The ANT/Filters screen seen with the Thetis Power ON, else the round radio buttons will be gray.
With those set I can toggle the receive path between the Aux RF input and the ANT jack with the RX Ant button. If it is enabled correctly, it will have a green RX Ant label and the Aux RF input is active.
Pressing it turns it to a yellow TX Ant label with red underline. You will hear the relay click and the ANT jack is active on RX.
I do run custom I/O Board Firmware that forces the use of the Aux RF jack (register 11 = 1) on 6M and above on band changes. Regardless, the buttons described above still work the same though the RX Ant will force the Aux RF input to reg 11=2 overriding what my firmware set on the initial band change. On next band change it will be corrected. The ANT selection screens are designed for the Anan radios. The HL2 is force fit into the ANAN scheme of things so not all is perfect but it works. Other SDR Apps treat this different, generally not band specific (yet).

I am already using the final version of Thetis, but when I select antenna number 2, nothing happens. Reception remains on the main antenna. Please help.
