I am thinking about adding an internal fan, to try and keep the temp down when operating in warmer locations.

Has anyone installed an internal fan?  If so, where did you pick up 12v and would you post pics of the installation?

Changed to 55mm enclosure with 30mm fan in rear endcap. I did end up modifying the endcaps for increased airflow, gerbers are on the github. PWM power by populating the read endcap as detailed on the github. If you want even more fan performance you could just connect it to VSUP and GND but of course it is then going to always run at full speed.

Hi Anthony,

You can find information about the fan option here:

See the schematic on that page as well. The HL2 supports various fan speeds and generates a PWM signal depending on the measured temperature.

Also, for those of you subscribed as e-mail or journal only, there is a web interface to Google groups where you can search for information. There has been a lot of fan discussion over the years:

thank you to everyone for the replies & pics.  I'm not as computer savvy or sharp as I used to be, so finding good info wasn't as easy as for me as it should be.

I like the option shown on the GitHub link, but I have a different endcap so I don't think that option will work for me.

But you guys have given me enough to move forward.

Thanks again!
