Belle Zelman

[Nancy Schwartz]

91 years 8 months and 19 days of a beautiful life has ended. My mom, Belle Zelman, peacefully passed away July 6 in Celebration, Florida surrounded by her family.
Mom loved her students having taught for so many years at Hillside Elementary. She was also a long time outspoken advocate for the Hastings community.
Mom is survived by her son, Andrew, and his wife, Milena, my husband, Donald, and my two children, Zachary (wife Sara) and Erica (fiancé Matt).
We have a lifetime of wonderful memories we can’t wait to pass along from generation to generation.

Dear Nancy 

What a graceful way to describe the passing of such a graceful woman. I can so easily summon an image of her , though from my childhood memories . Tall,slender,elegant and gracious were her looks and keen and vivacious was the personality that I remember. What a beautiful life, teaching and involved with her family and community. Her name says it all ! Belle ! My sympathies for your loss and my appreciation for your wonderful way of framing her passing after a long and great life.

Nancy, I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I have many happy memories of good family times, and she was also my second grade teacher! I also saw her in more recent years before she moved to Florida and we had a nice visit. Great memories. My thoughts and condolences to you and all your family. She was a great woman!
